Austin Oaks Hospital in South Austin, TX, seeks an Intake Assessment Supervisor to manage the daily operations of the intake department, ensuring timely, accurate, and compassionate handling of referrals, inquiries, assessments, and admissions. The role partners with physicians, nurses, therapists, and clerical staff to support patient flow and safe admissions.

As a key operational leader, you will coach intake staff, monitor quality, prioritize assignments, and help achieve performance goals

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
• 2 years psychiatric nursing experience required.
• 1 year supervisory experience required.
• CPR and hospital de-escalation certifications (can be obtained during orientation).
• Nationwide background check and pre-employment drug screen may be required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily intake department operations for referrals, inquiries, assessments, and admissions.
• Lead intake workflow, collaborating with physicians, nurses, therapists, unit clerks, case management and other departments.
• Ensure timely, clinically appropriate, accurate and service-focused intake and admission processes.
• Support bed utilization, patient flow and safe admission practices.
• Provide leadership, coaching and day-to-day oversight to intake staff.
