Job summary

AdvisaCare Home Health is seeking a full-time Intake/Insurance Coordinator in Muskegon, MI. This in-office role operates Mon-Fri, 08:00-17:00, with weekend rotation from home for referrals.

You will verify benefits, obtain authorizations and patient liability before care begins, and help schedule staff while managing documentation from providers. Experience with WellSky/Kinnser is a plus; familiarity with referral portals and eFax is required.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Medicare
• Knowledge of insurance websites such as CareCentrix, Availity, Priority, etc.
• Conscientious, with attention to detail
• Demonstrates patience, flexibility and cooperative attitude
• Effective verbal and written communication skills with others both internally and externally

Responsibilities

• Intake /Insurance Coordinator is responsible for ensuring benefit information, initial authorization and patient liability are obtained prior to the clinical staff starting care.
• Initial scheduling of clinical staff, tracking orders and other pertinent documentation from physicians / providers / referral sources.
• WellSky/Kinnser Agency Manager is the EMR platform; prior experience is a plus but not required.
• Utilization of multiple Referral portals as well as eFax is required
