Job summary

Behavioral Health Network (BHN) seeks a Central Intake Coordinator to be the first point of contact for individuals seeking behavioral health services, connecting them to BHN programs and resources with empathy and professionalism.

You will verify insurance, schedule appointments, and coordinate with program staff to ensure timely follow-up and smooth transitions, while promoting a person-centered intake experience and supporting diverse populations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED (required); associate or bachelor’s Degree in a related field (preferred).
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in healthcare, behavioral health, or a call center/intake setting.
• Knowledge of mental health and substance use disorder treatment services.
• Experience with insurance verification and Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems (preferred).
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with a customer-service mindset.
• Proficiency in computer systems, databases, and Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to manage high-volume calls, multitask, and problem-solve effectively.
• Demonstrated cultural competence and comfort working with diverse populations.
• Candidates must be able to speak Spanish language.

What You Will Do

Work Schedule-Part-time hours offered-Mon -8am-4:30pm, & for the rest of the week it will vary from 8am-1pm or 1-6pm. it depends on the coverage needed.
