Job summary

Amerita, an affiliate of BrightSpring Health Services, is seeking an Intake Coordinator to join our Intaketeam in Englewood, CO. You will be responsible for the timely clearance of new referrals and will work closely with sales and pharmacy teams to process patient referrals and admissions.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years of experience collecting referral information in the healthcare market.
• Experience working with Medicare, Medicaid and commercial insurance.
• Knowledge of insurance verification and pre-certification procedures.

Responsibilities

• Takes infusion therapy referrals from referral sources.
• Ensures intake forms are complete and within Amerita's scope of service.
• Obtains authorizations and re-authorizations as required by payers.
• Enters patient demographic, insurance and authorization information into the computer system.
• Communicates with other departments regarding the status of referrals.
• Notifies patients/families regarding coverage and payment responsibilities.
• Maintains confidentiality of patient and proprietary information.
