Job Details

Position: Intake Coordinator

Schedule: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday

Location

Compassionate Care operates in six locations: Fresno, Visalia, Modesto, Merced, San Luis Obispo, and Bakersfield in California.

Responsibilities

• Email marketing team regarding referrals received.
• Verify patient insurance and add to batch.
• Screen patients using medical knowledge.
• Schedule Start of Cares (SOC’s) for patients with appropriate clinicians.
• Verify demographics, physician, and additional contacts.
• Enter all information into the EMR system.
• Check all fax lines for incoming referrals.

Qualifications

• Medical office background required.
• Compensation negotiable based on experience.
• Opportunity to accumulate overtime.
• Immaculate phone presence, computer skills, and office etiquette.
• Bilingual in Spanish, Hmong, or Punjabi is a plus.
• Strong multitasking capabilities and ability to work under pressure.
• Ability to work well in a fast‑paced environment.
• Prior customer service and/or sales experience is a plus.
• Strong commitment to high‑quality care and customer service.
• Excellent communication and listening skills, particularly via phone.
• Proven track record of managing processes with strong attention to detail.
• Patience and compassion in dealing with patients.
• Positive, can‑do attitude.
• Confidence and creative problem‑solving skills.
• Flexibility in schedule, including hours outside the standard week and possible weekend hours.
• Medical knowledge preferred.
