Job summary

Highlands Behavioral Health System is a Littleton, CO-based acute psychiatric hospital offering inpatient, partial hospitalization, and intensive outpatient programs. The Intake Clinician responds to requests for assistance, conducts psychiatric assessments and crisis interventions, and arranges referrals to hospital staff and outside services.

The role involves admissions coordination with the Business Office, Utilization Review and Nursing Services.

Qualifications

• Masters Degree in Psychology, Social Work or Counseling.
• Licensed Clinican in the state of Colorado preferred but not required; if not licensed must obtain licensure (LPC or LCSW); supervision for licensure can be provided onsite.
• Prefer previous experience with psychiatric patients of all ages.

Responsibilities

• Respond to all persons requesting assistance by telephone or in person; provide psychiatric assessment, crisis intervention and referrals to hospital staff and outside sources.
• Admissions to the Hospital are facilitated through coordinated efforts with the Business Office, Utilization Review and Nursing Services.
• Shift Hours: PRN; must be able to work 1 overnight shift per month; PRN employees are not guaranteed shifts/hours.
