Job summary

Universal Health Services, Inc.'s Highlands Behavioral Health System in Littleton, CO is hiring an Intake Clinician to respond to requests for help, perform psychiatric assessments, crisis intervention, and referrals to hospital staff and outside sources.

The role is PRN with the possibility of one overnight shift per month; shift differential pay up to $6.00/hour. Admissions coordination with the Business Office, Utilization Review and Nursing is required.

Qualifications

• Masters Degree in Psychology, Social Work or Counseling.
• Licensed Clinician in Colorado (LPC or LCSW) preferred; if not licensed, must have ability to obtain licensure.
• Experience with psychiatric patients of all ages preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide psychiatric assessment, crisis intervention and referrals to hospital staff and outside sources.
• Admissions to the Hospital are coordinated with the Business Office, Utilization Review and Nursing Services.
• Respond to requests by telephone or in person; assist with admissions and transfers.
• Shift Hours: PRN; must be able to work 1 overnight shift per month; PRN employees are not guaranteed shifts/hours.
