Qualifications

• Master's Degree in a human relations field is required.
• Licensed to practice in Indiana as a mental health professional (Social Worker, Counselor, or RN with MHP).
• Experience in intake assessment activities within an acute psychiatric setting is preferred.
• Working knowledge of the latest DSM and Mental Status Exam; knowledge of Addiction and Recovery field.

Responsibilities

• Document and process inquiry calls according to Intake policies.
• Assess and stabilize patients before discharge or arrange hospital admission.
• Notify and assist the on-call doctor with patient interviews.
• Obtain administrative approval for all admissions.
• Complete admission paperwork following hospital policy.
