Job summary

Highlands Behavioral Health System in Littleton, CO seeks an Intake Clinician to provide psychiatric assessments, crisis intervention, and referrals. You will work with Admissions, Business Office and Nursing Services to coordinate hospital admissions and ensure optimal patient care.

The role requires a Master's degree in psychology, social work or counseling and experience with psychiatric patients of all ages is preferred.

Qualifications

• Masters degree in psychology, social work or counseling is required.
• Prefer prior experience with psychiatric patients of all ages.

Responsibilities

• Respond to requests for psychiatric assistance by telephone or in person.
• Provide psychiatric assessment, crisis intervention and referrals.
• Facilitate admissions in coordination with hospital departments.
• Maintain daily log of intake calls and assessments.
• Collaborate with hospital staff to ensure optimal patient care.
• Promote a positive working environment and guest relations.
• Comply with CCR 27-65 regulations and safety measures.
• Respond to telephone and walk-in inquiries for assistance.
