Job summary

Valle Vista Health System is looking for an Access Center Intake Clinician to assess patient needs, arrange services, and coordinate referrals within a multidisciplinary team at our Greenwood, IN location.

The role involves interfacing with managed care and external reviewers, ensuring appropriate care pathways, and supporting crisis and ER interfacing as required.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in social work, counseling, mental health/behavioral sciences or related field; RN (BSN) preferred.
• Licensed in the field; licensure preferred.
• 1–2 years of experience in psychiatric health care preferred; familiar with DSM-V criteria and mental status exam.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate requests for services and assess patient/family clinical needs.
• Refer to appropriate resources and coordinate with care teams.
• Interface with managed care organizations, external reviewers, payers, and crisis lines as needed.

Education

Master’s Degree in social work, counseling, mental health/behavioral sciences or related field

Position Summary:

The Access Center Intake Clinicianis responsible forthe facilitation of requests for services, assessment of patient/family clinical needs, referrals to appropriate resources and services. The Intake Clinician works as part of the multidisciplinary team to ensure that patientsreceiveappropriate care. The clinicians alsointerface withmanaged care organizations, external reviewers, otherpayers,and as needed crisis calls to communityER’s.

Work Hours: Monday - Friday 9:30 am to 6:00 pm (No Weekends)

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS

Education:License EligibleMaster’s Degree in social work, counseling, mental health/behavioral sciences, or related field or RN (preferably BSN)required.

Licensure:Licensedin field, preferred.
