Job summary

Valle Vista Health System in Greenwood, IN is seeking an Intake Clinician for nights to coordinate service requests and assess clinical needs. You will work with a multidisciplinary team to ensure appropriate care and interface with managed care, reviewers and payers to support patient outcomes.

The role requires a license-eligible master's degree in a relevant field or RN, with 1–2 years in psychiatric health care; RN BSN preferred.

Qualifications

• License eligible master's degree in social work, counseling, mental health/behavioral sciences, or related field or RN.
• Licensed in the field preferred.
• 1–2 years of experience in psychiatric health care; prior mental health experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate requests for services and assess patient/family clinical needs.
• Refer to appropriate resources and coordinate with multidisciplinary team.
• Interface with managed care organizations, external reviewers, payers, and crisis services as needed.

Position Summary:

The Access Center Intake Clinician is responsible for the facilitation of requests for services, assessment of patient/family clinical needs, referrals to appropriate resources and services. The Intake Clinician works as part of the multidisciplinary team to ensure that patients receive appropriate care. The clinicians also interface with managed care organizations, external reviewers, other payers, and as needed crisis calls to community ERs.

Monday - Friday 11:00 pm to 7:00 am (No weekends)

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: License Eligible master's degree in social work, counseling, mental health/behavioral sciences, or related field or RN (preferably BSN) required.

Licensure: Licensed in field, preferred.

Experience: Working knowledge of DSM-V diagnostic criteria, mental status exam, addiction and recovery field required. 1-2 years of experience in psychiatric health care preferred. Previous experience in the mental health field, preferred.
