Job summary

The Caring Place, part of Miami Rescue Mission, seeks an Intake Assessment Coordinator for the Center for Men in Miami, FL. This full-time role oversees intake of new residents, conducts assessments, and ensures compliance with county requirements.

Responsibilities include maintaining bed inventories, coordinating with case managers, and assisting with health insurance applications, while promoting a welcoming and respectful environment.

Qualifications

• Must have an AA degree or on-the-job training in Social Work or related field;Bachelor’s degree in sociology/psychology/social work preferred.
• CAP training is a plus.
• Must have knowledge of alcoholism, chemical dependency and homelessness.
• Ability to react quickly and calmly in emergencies and refer for treatment.
• Able to work with clients and staff of diverse backgrounds.
• Organized and computer literate.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Screen and intake new residents and assess eligibility.
• Maintain bed inventory and occupancy records.
• Submit accurate reports to supervisor.
• Ensure compliance with contract guidelines.
• Motivate residents and build relationships for stability.
• Document cases accurately and timely for reporting.
• Coordinate with case managers and supervisor on assignments.
• Assist with Jackson Health Insurance applications.
