Job summary

Acacia Network seeks an Admissions Intake counselor to conduct psychosocial intakes for clients in the Medication Assisted Treatment program. You will coordinate intakes, screenings, and scheduling with clinical and front office staff, ensuring accurate documentation in PAS 44/45 and related systems.

You will assess clients using standardized tools, explain treatment agreements, and support orientation and education efforts. A culturally competent team environment awaits.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in Human Services; Bachelor's preferred.
• Minimum 3 years in an OASAS-licensed program.
• Valid unrestricted CASAC certification.
• Knowledge of LOCADTR 3.0.
• Lighthouse dual enrollment familiarity.
• Experience with Nextgen and Avatar EHR systems.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development.
• Completion of MAT and ethics trainings within mandated timelines.

Responsibilities

• Conduct substance abuse and mental health assessments using standardized tools.
• Complete phone screenings and determine client suitability for clinical assessment.
• Coordinate intakes and medical appointments with staff.
• Maintain documentation and reporting in PAS 44/45 and CDS systems.
• Explain treatment service agreements and obtain signatures.
• Support monthly orientation groups for new admissions.
• Monitor census and data integrity across systems.
• Provide client education on alcohol and drug abuse.
• Maintain updated referral resources for clients.
• Back up random toxicology testing as needed.
