Job summary

Acacia Network in Buffalo, NY is seeking an Admissions Intake specialist to provide alcoholism and substance abuse counseling in the MAT program. You will complete psychosocial intake assessments and collaborate with front office, medical team, and clinicians to coordinate care.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in Human Services; Bachelors preferred.
• 3+ years’ experience in an OASAS-licensed program.
• Valid unrestricted OASAS CASAC certification.
• Knowledge of LOCADTR 3.0.
• Knowledge of Lighthouse dual enrollment.
• Training in MAT and related ethics is required.
• Familiar with EHRs: Nextgen and Avatar.
• Excellent organizational, communication and time management skills.
• Ability to work in a culturally diverse team.

Responsibilities

• Conduct substance abuse and mental health assessments.
• Complete phone screenings and determine suitability for clinical assessment.
• Coordinate intakes and medical appointments.
• Explain treatment service agreements and obtain signatures.
• Maintain and reconcile census with data systems.
• Provide education about alcohol and drug use.
• Assist with billing and financial clearance.
• Attend clinical supervision and team meetings.
