Zusammenfassung

Acacia Network is seeking an Admissions Intake Counselor to provide counseling services for alcoholism and substance abuse within approved settings. The role includes conducting psychosocial intakes, coordinating with medical and clinical teams, and supporting front office staff.

The position requires an Associate Degree in Human Services (Bachelor’s preferred), 3+ years in an OASAS licensed program, and a valid CASAC certification.

Qualifikationen

• Associates degree in Human Services required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 3+ years’ work experience in an OASAS licensed program.
• Valid unrestricted OASAS CASAC certification.
• Knowledge of LOCADTR 3.0.
• Knowledge of Lighthouse for dual enrollment.
• Training in chemical use, abuse and dependence related to the services provided.
• Experience with Electronic Health Records (Nextgen, Avatar).
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work in a culturally diverse team.

Aufgaben

• Conduct substance abuse and mental health assessments using standardized tools.
• Complete phone screenings to determine suitability for clinical assessment.
• Coordinate intakes and medical appointments as needed.
• Explain treatment service agreements and obtain client signatures.
• Provide education about alcohol and drug abuse to clients.
• Maintain and update referrals and resources for clients.
• Serve as backup for monthly orientation groups and random toxicology testing.
• Pursue ongoing professional development and participate in clinical supervision.
