Job summary

Newport Academy in Connecticut is seeking an Intake Specialist to act as the liaison between Admissions and Program staff. You will welcome clients, coordinate intake activities, and facilitate face-to-face assessments, ensuring all admissions paperwork is complete and accurately entered into the EHR.

You will build rapport with clients, families, and professionals, conduct tours, and help acclimate new admits to the environment.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or high school diploma with two years of customer service experience.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Two years' experience in Admission and/or behavioral health preferred.
• Two years residential treatment or inpatient experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Act independently to recognize, acknowledge, and ensure clients engagement upon arrival.
• Establish rapport with clients, families, and other professionals.
• Facilitate all intake activities.
• Coordinate face-to-face assessments.
• Collect and ensure all admissions related paperwork is accurately completed.
• Generate EHR chart for all new admits.
• Conduct tours.
• Represent and introduce professionals, clients, and families to Newport Healthcare.
• Acclimate client into environment.
• Assist Admissions Department with over-the-phone assessments as needed.
