Job summary

Rogers Behavioral Health in Wisconsin seeks an Intake Screener to independently manage inquiries and conduct admission assessments for access to Rogers services.

The role involves evaluating inquiries, completing admissions with patients or representatives, explaining admitting processes, and gathering demographic and insurance information. Expect collaboration with internal departments and occasional on-call duties.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required or equivalent.
• Bachelor's degree preferred in human services or related field.
• Minimum 2 years experience in a health care setting preferred.
• Customer service experience required.
• Experience with electronic medical records preferred.
• Proficient in computer applications and multiple platforms.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate inquiries to determine and explain next steps for accessing care at Rogers.
• Complete admission assessments with potential patients and/or representatives.
• Explain admitting processes and clinical criteria for admission.
• Gather demographic and insurance information from patients and representatives.
• Enter all inquiries and assessments in the designated system accurately.
• Collaborate with internal departments and external facilities to access care.
• Participate in On-Call, weekend, and holiday schedules.
• Understand and apply policies per regulatory agencies (HIPAA, EMTALA, CFR).
• Promote Rogers Mission and policies.
