Baylor Scott & White Orthopedic and Spine Hospital – Arlington in Arlington, TX is hiring a Full Time Insurance Verifier. This onsite role supports patients, families, physicians and staff while ensuring accurate insurance verification and authorization.

Responsibilities include updating demographics, verifying benefits, obtaining authorizations, and documenting in the billing system. Requirements: High School Diploma and at least two years’ hospital insurance verification experience; 45 wpm

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Minimum two years of hospital insurance verification experience.
• Typing speed of 45 wpm is required.
• Medical terminology familiarity and computer experience are beneficial.
• Good communication skills and basic MS Word/Excel knowledge are preferred.

Insurance Verifier at Baylor Scott & White Orthopedic and Spine Hospital – Arlington:

• This is an Onsite role at our Arlington Hospital. Hours: 8:30am - 5:00pm.
• Interface with patients and families, physicians and staff.
• Update patient demographics/information in system.
• Verify insurance benefits, obtaining proper authorization from insurance carrier.
• Determine what funds to collect upon admission.
• Notify patients of monies due and document in billing system.
• Other duties as required or requested by chain of command.

Qualifications

Education:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.

Required Experience:

• Minimum two years’ previous experience hospital insurance verification required.
• Must have the skills necessary to operate the office equipment required to fulfill job duties.
• Forty-five (45) wpm typing skills required.
• Medical terminology and computer experience beneficial
• Good communication skills.
• Basic computer Knowledge-Word and Excel preferred
