Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Orthopedic and Spine Hospital – Arlington is seeking a PRN Certified Nurse Aide for the Post-Surgical Unit, nights 7:00pm-7:00am, to support RNs and care for patients in a high‑acuity orthopedic setting. A CNA license and current CPR are required; strong communication and customer service skills are essential.

One year of acute care experience is preferred. Join a dedicated team delivering excellent patient care in Arlington, TX.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience.

• 1-year acute care hospital experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Interface with visitors, patients, family, and physicians on phone and in person.
• Performs clerical duties including distribution of messages.
• Performs clinical duties under the direction of an RN or LVN, including assisting patients with mobility.
• Cleans rooms as needed.
• Assists RNs as instructed.
• Other duties as instructed by supervisor.

Schedule

• Schedule: PRN (As Needed), 7:00pm-7:00am, Approximately 1-2 shifts per bi-weekly pay period**

Certified Nurse Aide Post-Surgical Unit at Baylor Scott & White Orthopedic and Spine Hospital – Arlington:

• Interface with visitors, patients, family, and physicians on phone and in person.
• Performs clerical duties including distribution of messages.
• Performs clinical duties, under the direction of an RN or LVN, including assisting patients to the restroom, removing iv catheters, etc.
• Cleans rooms if needed.
• Assists RNs as instructed.
• Any other duties as instructed by supervisor.

Qualifications

Education:

• High School Diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Licensure/Certification:

• CNA license required
• Current CPR required

Required Experience:

• Good communication and people skills.
• Excellent telephone skills.
• Excellent Customer Service Skills.
• Excellent Clinical Skills appropriate for a NA, PC Assistant
