Qualifications

• Minimum two years’ previous experience in hospital insurance verification required.
• Must have the skills necessary to operate the office equipment required.
• Forty-five (45) wpm typing skills required.
• Good communication skills essential.

Responsibilities

• Interface with patients and families, physicians and staff.
• Update patient demographics/information in the system.
• Verify insurance benefits, obtaining proper authorization.
• Determine what funds to collect upon admission.
• Notify patients of monies due and document in billing system.
