AXIS Capital seeks a Technical Assistant in Stamford, CT to support underwriting operations. You will gather and organize insurance applications, manage documentation, assist with policy issuance, and provide technical support while ensuring compliance with company guidelines.

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Undergraduate degree in business, finance, or related field preferred, but not required.
• 0–2 years’ experience in the commercial insurance industry is preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
• Strong aptitude for learning new computer/software programs.
• Solid critical thinking and problem solving skills.
• Positive, can-do attitude.
• Good verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong customer service skills and a professional demeanor.

Responsabilidades

• Data gathering and documentation: gather and organize information for insurance applications and follow up on subjectivities.
• Maintain a diary system to ensure prompt receipt of account information.
• Review underwriting documents for accuracy and compliance with guidelines.
• Adhere to compliance standards and maintain accurate files.
• Policy issuance, processing and technical support including endorsements and renewals.
• Input account information into PIL and endorsement logs; use underwriting software for data input and reports.
• Create post-binding E-File in Insurance Desktop (IDT) and update PIL.
• Process notices and filings such as BOR notices and cancellations.
• Handle declination letters, loss control surveys, and premium audits.
• Engage with internal/external customers for information and updates.
• Provide backup TA team support and collaborate across departments.
