The Ben Smith Agency in Grandville, MI is hiring for an Agent in Training to kick off a sales career with growth opportunities. We provide training, coaching, leads, and support as you learn to quote Auto, Home, Life, and Business insurance while building lasting client relationships.

You'll be measured against clear sales goals and supported by an agency CRM and ongoing coaching. Compensation ranges from $55K to $85K with base pay plus uncapped commissions.

Qualifications

• Previous sales, insurance, or customer-facing experience preferred.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Comfortable working in a goal-oriented sales environment.
• Willing to obtain licensing if not already licensed.
• Bilingual applicants are encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Connect with prospective customers through agency leads, referrals, phone calls, email, and follow-up.
• Ask questions to understand each customer's needs, priorities, and current coverage.
• Prepare quotes and recommend Auto, Home, Life, Business, and other insurance products.
• Educate customers on coverage options and help them make informed decisions.
• Consistently follow up with prospects and manage your sales pipeline.
• Build relationships that lead to long-term clients, referrals, and additional opportunities.
• Identify coverage gaps and cross-selling opportunities within existing households.
• Work toward individual and agency sales goals.
• Track activity and customer communication through the agency CRM.
• Participate in ongoing sales coaching, product education, and professional development.
