Job summary

Sand Companies Inc. is seeking an experienced insurance and risk management professional. The role can be full-time or part-time, based on strengths and interests, with the position based in Saint Cloud, Minnesota or remote where feasible.

Reporting to the CEO, you’ll manage insurance programs, coordinate claims, lead broker relationships, review contracts, and provide practical risk guidance to protect our people, properties, and business operations.

Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience.
• 3–5 years in risk management or property and casualty insurance.
• CRM designation or willingness to obtain it; CIC designation is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage insurance programs: oversee property and casualty, commercial auto, workers’ compensation, and fidelity coverage for the company and its properties.
• Coordinate claims: review incident reports, submit claims, coordinate inspections, and manage follow-up through settlement.
• Lead broker and carrier relationships: renewals, coverage evaluation, and broker/carrier selection guidance.
• Review contracts and vendor coverage: ensure insurance requirements and verify coverage for vendors, vehicles and equipment.
• Provide practical risk guidance: identify exposures, reduce losses, and maintain insurance/claims records.
