Job summary

HITT Contracting Inc. in Falls Church, VA, is seeking an Associate, Insurance & Risk Management to support the company's P&C programs, SDI, surety, and captive insurance.

Reporting to the Senior Manager, you will handle day-to-day administration, coordinate with brokers and carriers, review policies and COIs, and help ensure contractual risk transfer compliance across projects. The ideal candidate has a solid foundation in P&C, 2–3 years of commercial insurance experience, proficiency in Excel,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent work experience accepted.
• Professional designation (CPCU, ARM, or CRIS) or active P&C license preferred, or willingness to pursue one.
• 2–3 years of experience in commercial insurance, risk management, surety, or a related field.
• Exposure to the construction, manufacturing, or logistics industries preferred.
• Experience with certificate of insurance tracking, claims administration, or surety bond requests a plus.
• Working knowledge of commercial P&C coverage lines and contract insurance requirements.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including data management, formulas, pivot tables, and charting.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Proactive learner and collaborative team player.

Responsibilities

• Support administration of enterprise-wide P&C programs including GL, workers' comp, auto, property, umbrella, professional, pollution, cyber, and management liability.
• Assist renewals by gathering underwriting data, submissions, and comparing coverage/pricing options.
• Review policies, endorsements, and binders for accuracy; maintain policy records and schedules.
• Coordinate day-to-day requests with brokers, carriers, and loss control consultants.
• Prepare bid, performance, and payment bond requests; coordinate issuance with surety broker.
• Compile financial/project data for surety underwriting reviews.
• Meet regulatory filing, financial reporting, and compliance deadlines for captive program.
• Track COIs and subcontractor insurance compliance; issue COIs and endorsements.
• Assist with contractual risk transfer and compliance across project contracts.
