Job summary

HITT Contracting Inc. seeks an Associate in Insurance & Risk Management to support enterprise P&C, SDI, surety, and captive programs. You will collaborate with operations, finance, and legal teams to administer programs and gather data for underwriting and audits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Risk Management, Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field preferred.
• Professional designation (CPCU, ARM, or CRIS) or active P&C license preferred.
• 2–3 years of experience in commercial insurance, risk management, surety, or a related field.
• Exposure to the construction, manufacturing, or logistics industries preferred.
• Experience with certificate of insurance tracking, claims administration, or surety bond requests a plus.
• Working knowledge of commercial P&C coverage lines, with the ability to read and interpret policy language and contract insurance requirements.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including data management, formulas, pivot tables, and charting.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain insurance concepts to non-specialists.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
• Proactive learner who takes ownership of assigned work.
• Collaborative team player who builds strong relationships across departments and with outside partners.

Responsibilities

• Support the administration of enterprise-wide P&C programs across multiple coverages.
• Support renewals by gathering underwriting data, preparing submissions, and comparing coverage and pricing options.
• Review policies, endorsements, and binders for accuracy and maintain policy records.
• Coordinate day-to-day requests with brokers, carriers, and loss control consultants.
• Prepare bid, performance, and payment bond requests and maintain the bond log.
• Help compile financial and project information for surety underwriting reviews.
• Work with the captive manager to meet regulatory filing, financial reporting, and compliance deadlines.
• Gather data for actuarial studies, loss reserve reviews, and premium allocations.
• Help prepare materials for captive audits and board meetings.
• Review construction contracts, subcontracts, and vendor agreements for insurance and surety requirements.
