Markel is seeking a Product Development Specialist to design and revise insurance product forms and related documents. The role involves researching coverage forms, ensuring compliance, and supporting state filing submissions within the US Insurance Division.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree and 1–3 years of experience in insurance form development, with strong analytical and communication skills. This is a full-time role with benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 1–3 years of experience developing insurance coverage forms preferred.
• Ability to conceptualize and create insurance forms and endorsements.
• Ability to interpret state laws and regulations as applicable to the insurance policy life cycle.
• Proven analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Detail-oriented with strong interpersonal ability.
• Project management experience preferred.
• Technically proficient in all standard business software applications including Excel and Word.

Responsabilités

• Develop insurance policy forms for new and revised coverages that clearly convey underwriting intent and market competitiveness.
• Identify and confirm compliance with applicable regulations.
• Prepare documentation to assist in submission of product filings and State Department of Insurance requests.
• Assist, mentor, coach and share knowledge with other PRS associates.
• Foster and encourage strong relationships with internal stakeholders.
• Participate in special projects as requested.
