Job summary

PIMCO in New York is seeking an Account Associate to support the Financial Institutions Group (FIG) Insurance team, focusing on business development and client engagement. You will research insurance clients, prepare for meetings, and help convert opportunities from outreach through onboarding.

The role blends analytical work with commercial execution. You’ll work with Account Managers, product strategists, and cross-functional partners to tailor strategies, prepare presentations, and support

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required; preferred fields include Business (Finance or Accounting), Economics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or Engineering.
Progress toward the CFA or CAIA designation or an advanced degree is a plus.
Series 7 and 63 within the first six months of employment.

Responsibilities

Conduct qualitative and quantitative analysis of insurance companies, industry developments, and competitors.
Partner with Account Managers to prioritize prospects and tailor outreach for meetings.
Prepare and update presentations and marketing materials for prospective and existing clients.
Coordinate responses to RFPs and DDQs, gathering input from relevant teams.
Track investment flows and growth trends to help prioritize outreach.
Coordinate with investment professionals and internal teams to onboard new mandates.
Apply data and AI tools to streamline research and reporting and identify automation opportunities.
