Job summary

PIMCO, a global leader in fixed income, is seeking an Account Associate to join the U.S. FIG Insurance team in New York, focusing on business development and relationship building with prospective insurance clients.

You will work with Account Managers to identify opportunities, conduct research on prospective clients, and prepare client engagements and onboarding materials, leveraging data, automation, and AI tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; CFA/CAIA progress a plus.
• Experience in financial services, asset management, investment banking or related fields.
• Series 7 and 63 within six months is expected.
• Familiarity with fixed income markets and credit/investment portfolios.
• Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint required; Bloomberg or SNL Financial preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct qualitative and quantitative analysis of insurance companies, industry developments, and competitors.
• Partner with Account Managers to prioritize prospects and tailor outreach for meetings and conferences.
• Prepare and update presentations and marketing materials for clients and prospects.
• Coordinate responses to RFPs and DDQs with relevant teams.
• Support business planning by researching competitors and analyzing trends.
• Coordinate with investment professionals and internal teams to onboard new mandates.
• Use data and AI-enabled tools to streamline research and meeting preparation.
