This position allows you to assist in the development and management of key programs within the Pennsylvania Insurance Department, ensuring effective coordination, communication, and alignment with organizational goals to foster a positive and productive work environment. Bring your dedication and ambition to our department and make your career goals a reality!As an Insurance Department Employee Engagement and Development Officer you will be tasked with conducting research on administrative issues and recommending policy and program updates to address concerns. You will have the opportunity to work with supervisors to coordinate human resource (HR) needs including hiring, payroll, and temporary assignments. As an essential member of our team, you will also be responsible for submitting and tracking E-PARs and Service Now requests for the HR department. Key functions of this role include the following:
Employee Engagement:
- Designing and implementing programs to improve employee development, job satisfaction, morale, productivity, and retention
Mentorship Program:
- Identifying mentors and proteges, assisting in training, and ensuring successful participation for all involved
Onboarding and Orientation Program:
- Developing new training courses designed to better equip employees with the knowledge and resources needed to successfully acclimate to the department
Internship Program:
- Defining roles, developing training plans, and enriching the internship experience
Employee Development:
- Identifying and creating new opportunities for technical certifications and soft skills
Telework Coordinator:
- Providing guidance to telework-eligible employees and supervisors regarding the telework sign-up process, rules, and training
Assistant to SECA Coordinator:
- Planning and logistics for the SECA (State Employees’ Combined Appeal) campaign, including team building, event coordination, and promoting employee involvement
GreenGov Council Participation:
- Collaborating with staff to identify opportunities for energy and resource conservation to promote GreenGov Council initiatives

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
- Telework:You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, you to 3 days per week. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg.

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Two years of experience in varied office management or staff work; and bachelor's degree; or
- Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
Other Requirements:
