If so, the Bureau of Corporations and Charitable Organizations is eager to welcome an Administrative Officer 2 to lead the development, testing, implementation, and maintenance of processes and procedures related to IT systems that support the corporate and charities filings in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. The Administrative Officer 2 develops, maintains, and queries databases, analyzes data, develops and tests applications, and builds reports for the bureau's internal applications. You will collect, prioritize, and analyze compiled information and existing documentation and research best practices and new initiatives applicable to bureau programs and systems.


Specific duties include developing analytical documents and comprehensive reports of findings, related to business initiatives, to make recommendations and determine solutions for program and system enhancements or development. You will present findings to the supervisor, information technology and program area staff, and executive staff. This professional also develops policies and procedures as they relate to a system's business processes. Within this role, you will coordinate and administer the design, development, testing, management, implementation, and maintenance of projects, in addition to working within the Business Filing Services (BFS), the Pennsylvania Licensing System (PALS), and other bureau programs, applications, and systems to assist staff to perform their assigned duties.


Excellent communication skills are utilized to lead meetings with agency personnel, application users, process owners, various technical teams, and others to gather information and identify business needs, existing system issues, and best practices. You will be responsible for analyzing requests and determining the complexity, priority, and level of effort needed for resolutions. Corrective solutions will be implemented as necessary and other requests will be escalated to the appropriate roles as necessary.


Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment
  • Work hours are 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch.
  • Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg.
  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • One year as an Administrative Officer 1;
  • or Three years of experience in progressively responsible and varied office management or staff work, including experience in personnel management, budgeting, or procurement; and a bachelor's degree;
  • or Any equivalent combination of experience and training.

Additional Requirements:

  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.
