The Administrative Officer 2 develops, maintains, and queries databases, analyzes data, develops and tests applications, and builds reports for the bureau's internal applications. You will collect, prioritize, and analyze compiled information and existing documentation and research best practices and new initiatives applicable to bureau programs and systems.
Specific duties include developing analytical documents and comprehensive reports of findings, related to business initiatives, to make recommendations and determine solutions for program and system enhancements or development. You will present findings to the supervisor, information technology and program area staff, and executive staff. This professional also develops policies and procedures as they relate to a system's business processes. Within this role, you will coordinate and administer the design, development, testing, management, implementation, and maintenance of projects, in addition to working within the Business Filing Services (BFS), the Pennsylvania Licensing System (PALS), and other bureau programs, applications, and systems to assist staff to perform their assigned duties.
Excellent communication skills are utilized to lead meetings with agency personnel, application users, process owners, various technical teams, and others to gather information and identify business needs, existing system issues, and best practices. You will be responsible for analyzing requests and determining the complexity, priority, and level of effort needed for resolutions. Corrective solutions will be implemented as necessary and other requests will be escalated to the appropriate roles as necessary.
