Job description

If so, the Department of Transportation (DOT) invites you to apply and join our team as an Administrative Officer 1! This specialized career path serves as the Contract Manager for Driver and Vehicle Services’ (DVS) Business Partner Programs, providing management and oversight of these programs and ensuring contract compliance. As an Administrative Officer 1, you will be responsible for a large contract management program, which includes contracts with agents in other states, ensuring compliance, and overseeing clerical staff. You will receive, review, and either approve or reject Third-Party CDL Skills and Non CDL Testing Services Agreements, in addition to administering usage of software used in the day-to-day operation of the unit, managing contract workflow, and coordinating complex procurements for the organization. Within this role you will also manage the organization's budget, select contractors, and manage departmental policies and procedures.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment
  • Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch.
  • This position may be eligible for alternate work schedule (AWS).
  • Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg.
  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • Two years of experience in varied office management or staff work; and bachelor's degree; or
  • Any equivalent combination of experience and training.

Additional Requirements:

  • You must possess a valid class C driver's license.
  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.
