Qualifications

• 4+ years of paralegal experience assisting attorneys handling insurance defense litigation matters.
• Indiana Registered Paralegal designation is a plus.
• Discovery and trial experience preferred.
• Indiana State and Federal Court filing, including E-Filing experience required.
• Advanced computer skills in MS Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel.
• Proficiency in PowerPoint for mediation/trial presentations is a plus.
• Ability to work well with a team and communicate effectively.
• Requires critical thinking, organizational skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
• High School Diploma or its equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Organizes and analyzes documentary evidence, including contracts, records, medical records, and other documents.
• Drafts and prepares correspondence and documents under attorney direction (motions, reports, pleadings, etc.).
• Prepares and handles tracking and disposition of subpoenas or information requests.
• Ensures organization of files; communicates with clients, witnesses, and experts.
• Monitors files and escalates issues requiring attorney involvement; handles sensitive materials.
• Maintains calendar for trial and discovery deadlines; coordinates trial settings.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
