Job summary

Jobot is seeking a paralegal with 2+ years of experience, preferably in insurance defense, to support attorneys in litigation tasks and discovery. You will handle e-filing, research, discovery responses, and medical record summaries.

This role requires strong organizational skills, meticulous billing, and the ability to work independently or in a team. An equivalent paralegal certification is preferred by the firm.

Qualifications

• 2+ years paralegal experience, preferably in insurance defense.
• Proficient in e-filing and legal software.
• Strong legal research skills with ability to analyze complex materials.
• Experience in litigation support, including discovery responses/ objections.
• Familiarity with medical records and ability to summarize information.
• Excellent organizational skills to manage calendars and deadlines.
• Experience with time entries and billing in a legal setting.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proactive, able to work independently and in a team.
• Paralegal certification or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assisting attorneys with litigation tasks including discovery, filings, and trial prep.
• Use e-file systems to ensure accurate and timely filing of documents.
• Conduct thorough legal research to support case development and strategy.
• Provide litigation support by preparing discovery responses/ objections.
• Review and summarize medical records and other case-related docs.
• Manage time entries and billing accurately and promptly.
• Maintain an organized calendar of deadlines, court dates, and events.
• Collaborate with attorneys, clients, and others to ensure effective case progression.
• Perform administrative tasks such as document management and client intake as needed.
