EverStaff, LLC is seeking a detail-oriented Litigation Paralegal with insurance defense experience to support attorneys through all phases of civil litigation, including discovery and trial preparation. This onsite role in Houston, TX offers a salary of $80,000–$90,000 per year, a direct hire opportunity, comprehensive benefits, and the chance to work closely with senior attorneys on high-volume caseloads.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's or Associate degree; Paralegal certificate preferred.
• 3+ years of litigation paralegal experience, focusing on insurance defense.
• Familiarity with state and federal court rules and procedures.

Responsabilidades

• Assist attorneys with insurance defense litigation from inception through trial and appeal.
• Draft, proofread, and file legal documents including pleadings and discovery requests.
• Manage case files and organize electronic/physical documents.
• Coordinate and track discovery, including production, interrogatories, and requests for admission.
• Prepare deposition summaries, medical summaries, and chronologies.
• Schedule depositions, mediations, hearings, and trial dates.
• Communicate with clients, adjusters, experts, and opposing counsel.
• Maintain case calendars and ensure court deadlines and rules are met.
• Assist with trial prep including exhibits, binders, and witness files.
• Review medical and billing records and e-file in courts.
