Job summary

Germer PLLC is seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal to support attorneys in our Houston office on insurance defense matters. The role involves docket management from filing through trial and final dismissal, with a need for high organization and confidentiality.

Candidates should have 3+ years in litigation paralegal work, preferably defense, and be proficient in Microsoft Office. Paralegal certification or degree is preferred but not required. Competitive benefits offered.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of recent litigation paralegal experience, preferably in defense litigation.
• Strong knowledge of litigation procedures, court filings, and case management.
• Proficiency with Word, Excel, and Outlook; ability to manage deadlines and calendars.

Responsibilities

• Assist with case management from inception through resolution and trial preparation.
• Draft, prepare, and revise pleadings, correspondence, discovery, and other legal documents.
• Coordinate court filings and e-filing; organize and maintain case files and document productions.
• Track deadlines and maintain calendars; subpoena medical records and coordinate expert witnesses.
• Assist with deposition and trial preparations and provide general litigation support.
