Our client in the Atlanta metro area seeks a Litigation Associate – Insurance Defense with at least 3 years of civil litigation or insurance defense experience. The role involves handling matters from inception through disposition, drafting sophisticated litigation documents, taking and defending depositions, and preparing cases for trial.

Qualifications

• J.D. degree from an accredited law school.
• Active Georgia Bar in good standing.
• Minimum 3 years in civil litigation/insurance defense.
• Experience with discovery, motions, and trial preparation.

Responsibilities

• Manage litigation matters from inception through trial or resolution.
• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests/responses, briefs, memos.
• Conduct legal research and develop case strategies.
• Take/defend depositions; participate in mediations and hearings.
• Review discovery, medical records, expert reports, contracts, and policies.
• Prepare cases for trial with witness prep, exhibits, and motions in limine.
• Assist with appellate matters as needed.
• Communicate with clients, claims professionals, courts, and counsel.
• Manage multiple matters with calendars and deadlines.
• Evaluate liability, damages, and litigation outcomes.
• Provide updates and recommendations on strategy.
