Responsibilities

The associate will have the opportunity to handle matters through multiple stages of litigation, including:

• Managing an active civil-litigation caseload
• Drafting pleadings, motions, briefs and discovery
• Taking and defending depositions
• Conducting fact and legal research
• Reviewing medical records, expert materials and damages documentation
• Preparing witnesses and experts
• Attending hearings, mediations and court appearances
• Working directly with clients, insurers and opposing counsel
• Assisting with trial preparation and, depending on experience, gaining increased trial responsibility
• Developing litigation strategy alongside partners and senior attorneys
