Job summary

gpac is seeking a dependable Customer Service Representative for an independent insurance agency in Charleston, WV. You will support clients with policy servicing, account maintenance, and day-to-day insurance needs while building strong relationships.

This role involves assisting with policy changes, renewals, endorsements, and inquiries, coordinating with Account Managers and Producers, and maintaining organized client records. Growth opportunities toward Commercial Lines are available.

Qualifications

• Previous Insurance customer service and commercial experience required.
• Property & Casualty license required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with policy changes, renewals, billing questions, certificates, and coverage inquiries.
• Process endorsements, cancellations, reinstatements, and policy updates accurately and efficiently.
• Handle inbound calls, emails, and customer requests in a professional and timely manner.
• Support Account Managers and Producers with administrative and service-related tasks.
• Review policies and documents for accuracy and completeness.
• Maintain detailed and organized client records within the agency management system.
• Communicate with insurance carriers regarding underwriting, policy servicing, and follow-up items.
• Help ensure excellent customer retention through responsive service and relationship-building.
• Stay informed on agency procedures and carrier guidelines.
