Job summary

The Insurance Coverage Attorney – Litigation (CA) role is with a leading international law firm in California, offering a hybrid work arrangement across Irvine, Los Angeles, and San Francisco. The position focuses on complex coverage disputes, market conduct matters, and high-exposure litigation for domestic and international insurers.

Candidates should have a JD from an ABA-accredited law school, California bar in good standing, and at least 3 years of substantive insurance coverage litigation

Qualifications

• JD from ABA-accredited law school with excellent academic record.
• Active Bar Admission in California in good standing.
• 3+ years of substantive litigation experience focusing on insurance coverage matters.
• Experience analyzing complex insurance policies.

Responsibilities

• Analyze insurance policies and draft detailed coverage opinions.
• Provide clear and actionable coverage recommendations for clients.
• Conduct legal research using Westlaw, Lexis, and other research tools.
• Participate in depositions, hearings, mediations, and trials.
• Draft interrogatories, document requests, and responses.
• Review and analyze document collections in preparation for litigation.
• Engage in direct communication with domestic and international insurers.
• Collaborate with partners and team members to advance case objectives.
