True North Consultants, Inc. represents a leading international law firm in Los Angeles seeking an Insurance Coverage Attorney – Litigation (CA) to join a dynamic team.

The associate will handle complex coverage disputes, draft opinions, perform research, and support depositions and hearings in a hybrid work environment. California bar in good standing and 3+ years of civil litigation required.

Qualifications

• JD from an ABA-accredited law school with an excellent academic record.
• Active Bar Admission in California, in good standing.
• 3+ years of substantive Civil litigation experience.
• Experience analyzing insurance policies and coverage issues preferred.
• Excellent legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.
• Strong drafting skills, including pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery, and memoranda.
• Exceptional organizational and time-management abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple matters and deadlines simultaneously.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating within a team.
• Excellent attention to detail and client service orientation.

Responsibilities

• Analyze insurance policies and draft detailed coverage opinions, recommendations, and advice for insurer clients.
• Provide clear and actionable coverage recommendations for clients.
• Conduct legal research using Westlaw, Lexis, and other research tools.
• Participate in depositions, hearings, mediations, and other litigation proceedings.
• Draft and review pleadings, briefs, motions, discovery requests and responses, and other litigation documents.
• Review and analyze document collections in preparation for litigation.
• Engage in direct communication with domestic and international insurers.
• Collaborate with partners and team members to advance case objectives with efficiency and precision.
