Job summary

Saint Cyr Partners in Los Angeles, CA is seeking an Insurance Coverage Attorney – Litigation (CA) with 3+ years of civil litigation experience to join its Insurance Coverage Practice Group. The role focuses on complex coverage disputes for domestic and international insurers, including GL, property, and E&O matters.

The candidate must be admitted to the California Bar in good standing and hold a JD from an ABA-accredited law school.

Qualifications

• JD from an ABA-accredited law school with excellent academic record.
• Active California Bar in good standing.
• 3+ years of substantive Civil litigation experience.
• Experience analyzing insurance policies and coverage issues preferred.
• Excellent legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.
• Strong drafting skills including pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery, and legal memoranda.
• Exceptional organizational and time-management abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple matters and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Analyze insurance policies and draft detailed coverage opinions, recommendations, and advice for insurer clients.
• Provide clear and actionable coverage recommendations for clients.
• Conduct legal research using Westlaw, Lexis, and other research tools.
• Participate in depositions, hearings, mediations, and other litigation proceedings.
• Draft and review pleadings, briefs, motions, discovery requests and responses, and litigation documents.
• Review and analyze document collections in preparation for litigation.
• Engage in direct communication with domestic and international insurers.
• Collaborate with partners and team members to advance case objectives with efficiency and precision.
