Elgen Staffing is assisting a leading litigation law firm with offices across the Northeast to fill an Insurance Coverage Litigation Attorney role in Manchester. The ideal candidate will manage their own caseload from inception to resolution, drafting pleadings, motions, and discovery, while meeting deadlines and maintaining meticulous file management.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor from ABA-accredited law school and NH Bar admission.
• Bar admission in Maine and/or Vermont, or a sufficient UBE score to waive into one or both jurisdictions, considered a plus.
• At least four (4) years of civil litigation experience and experience in both New Hampshire state and federal courts.
• Experience trying cases in NH courts; taking/defending depositions; ADR experience; settlement negotiations.
• Proficiency in drafting and arguing dispositive motions, along with the ability to perform legal research and respond to discovery requests.

Responsibilities

• Prepare for and attend depositions, hearings, and trials.
• Adhere to deadlines with meticulous file management and strong advocacy skills.

Our client, a leading litigation law firm with offices throughout the Northeast, has an immediate need for an Insurance Coverage Litigation Attorney, to join our winning team in Manchester.

Our candidate of choice will manage their own caseload from inception to resolution, drafting pleadings, motions, and discovery requests while meticulously adhering to deadlines. Areas of focus include Professional Liability, Tort and Liability Defense, and Insurance Coverage.Your days will be enriched by preparing for and attending depositions, hearings, and trials, granting you invaluable courtroom experience. This is an exciting opportunity for individuals with 4 to 6 years’ civil litigation experience and are eager to tackle complex legal challenges that offers a flexible, hybrid work arrangement!

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/REQUIREMENTS:

• A Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school and admission to the New Hampshire State Bar, are essential prerequisites.
• Bar admission in Maine and/or Vermont, or a sufficient UBE score to waive into one or both jurisdictions, considered a plus.
• You should possess at least four (4) years of prior civil litigation experience and experience in both New Hampshire state and federal courts.
• Experienced trying cases in NH courts; taking/defending depositions; ADR experience; settlement negotiations.
• You should be a self-starter with strong advocacy skills. Proficiency in drafting and arguing dispositive motions, along with the ability to perform legal research and respond to discovery requests, is crucial
• Taking and defending fact witness and expert depositions will also be part of your role, making attention to detail and effective communication are key attributes for success in this position.
