Am Law 100 international law firm in Miami, FL seeks an Associate Attorney for its growing insurance coverage practice. Hybrid/Remote work arrangement with 1+ year of litigation experience and active Florida Bar admission preferred.

Ideal candidates will have strong academic credentials, exceptional research and writing skills, and a desire to develop substantive insurance coverage expertise while handling complex matters on a national scale.

Qualifications

• Active Florida Bar admission is required.
• Strong academic credentials, including Law Review or academic honors.
• Excellent research and writing skills required.
• Interest in developing substantive insurance coverage expertise.

Responsibilities

• Analyze insurance policies and underlying claims.
• Draft coverage opinions and provide coverage recommendations to insurer clients.
• Conduct sophisticated legal research using Westlaw, Lexis, and Nexis.
• Draft interrogatories, document demands, and other discovery materials.
• Review documents and develop files in preparation for litigation.
• Assist with litigation strategy and case development.
• Attend depositions, hearings, mediations, and other proceedings.
• Collaborate with senior insurance coverage attorneys on complex nationwide matters.
