Our client, a leading international law firm in Miami, seeks a Litigation Associate Attorney to join its Insurance Coverage Practice Group, handling complex coverage litigation for insurers. The role offers exposure to domestic and international clients and high-exposure matters in a dynamic team.

The candidate will analyze policies, draft coverage opinions, and provide actionable recommendations, with opportunities for growth, mentorship, and a collaborative, high-performing environment.

Qualifications

• JD from an ABA-accredited law school with excellent academic record.
• Active Florida Bar admission in good standing.
• 2–5 years of substantive litigation experience focusing on insurance coverage matters.
• Experience analyzing complex insurance policies.
• Drafting litigation-related documents.
• Participation in depositions, hearings, mediations, and trials.
• Familiarity with bad faith insurance claims and core coverages (CG, E&O, D&O).
• Strong legal research and writing, with excellent organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and in teams.

Responsibilities

• Analyze insurance policies and draft detailed coverage opinions
• Provide clear and actionable coverage recommendations for clients
• Conduct legal research using Westlaw, Lexis, and other tools
• Participate in depositions, hearings, mediations, and trials
• Draft interrogatories, document requests and responses
• Review and analyze document collections in preparation for litigation
• Engage in direct communication with domestic and international insurers
• Collaborate with partners and team members to advance case objectives
