Our client, a leading international law firm, seeks a skilled Litigation Associate Attorney to join its Insurance Coverage Practice Group in Miami. This hybrid role offers exposure to complex coverage litigation and market conduct matters for domestic and international insurers.

The ideal candidate has a JD from an ABA-accredited law school, Florida bar admission in good standing, 2–5 years of substantive litigation experience focused on insurance coverage, and strong research and writing skills.

Qualifications

• JD from an ABA-accredited law school with an excellent academic record.
• Florida Bar admission in good standing.
• 2-5 years of substantive litigation experience with a focus on insurance coverage.
• Experience analyzing complex insurance policies.
• Ability to provide clear coverage recommendations.
• Experience drafting litigation-related documents.
• Participation in depositions, hearings, mediations, and trials.
• Familiarity with bad faith claims, CGL, property, E&O, and D&O.
• Exceptional legal research and writing skills.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and with a team.

Responsibilities

• Analyze insurance policies and draft detailed coverage opinions.
• Provide clear and actionable coverage recommendations for clients.
• Conduct legal research using Westlaw, Lexis, and other research tools.
• Participate in depositions, hearings, mediations, and trials.
• Draft interrogatories, document requests, and responses.
• Review and analyze document collections in preparation for litigation.
• Engage in direct communication with domestic and international insurers.
• Collaborate with partners and team members to advance case objectives.
