Job summary

Kingfisher Recruiting client, a leading international law firm in Miami, seeks a Litigation Associate Attorney to join its Insurance Coverage Practice Group. The role focuses on complex coverage disputes, market conduct matters, and high-exposure insurance litigation for domestic and international insurers.

Ideal candidates hold a JD from an ABA-accredited school, Florida bar in good standing, 2–5 years of substantive litigation experience, and strong research/writing skills.

Qualifications

• JD from an ABA-accredited law school with an excellent academic record.
• Active Florida Bar in good standing.
• 2–5 years of substantive litigation experience focusing on insurance coverage.
• Experience analyzing complex insurance policies and drafting coverage opinions.
• Experience participating in depositions, mediations, hearings, and trials.
• Familiarity with bad faith insurance claims, CGL, commercial property, E&O, and D&O claims.
• Strong legal research and writing skills; exceptional organization.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a team.

Responsibilities

• Analyze insurance policies and draft detailed coverage opinions.
• Provide clear and actionable coverage recommendations for clients.
• Conduct legal research using Westlaw, Lexis, and other tools.
• Participate in depositions, hearings, mediations, and trials.
• Draft interrogatories, document requests, and responses.
• Review and analyze document collections for litigation readiness.
• Engage in direct communication with domestic and international insurers.
• Collaborate with partners to advance case objectives with precision.
