Job summary

Clyde & Co is seeking a highly motivated attorney with 3-5 years of experience in insurance coverage to join our team. The role focuses on non-litigation coverage issues and advising domestic and international insurers on complex policy interpretations across D&O, EPL, professional liability, CGL, and auto policies.

California admission is required. The position emphasizes rigorous research, client collaboration, and proactive matter management, with remote candidates considered.

Qualifications

• Admitted to practice in California or another U.S. jurisdiction.
• Experience in handling complex insurance coverage matters.
• Litigation experience is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Analyze claims files and policies and draft coverage opinions.
• Conduct legal research using Westlaw/Lexis/Nexis and prepare memoranda.
• Review pleadings, discovery, and other materials to assess coverage implications.
• Collaborate with clients and colleagues on coverage strategy and policy interpretation.
• Attend arbitrations, hearings, and mediations as needed.
• Manage deadlines and communications with clients effectively.
