Job summary

Clyde & Co US LLP seeks an experienced Senior Counsel with 10+ years of insurance coverage experience to join our expanding insurance coverage practice in California. This advisory, non-litigation role focuses on coverage analysis, opinions, and strategic claim advice for insurer clients on complex liability and excess policies.

Admission to the California Bar or Washington Bar is preferred; applicants licensed in other U.S. jurisdictions are welcome.

Qualifications

• Licensed to practice law in CA, WA, or another U.S. jurisdiction in good standing.
• 10+ years of insurance coverage experience.
• Excellent legal research, writing, and oral communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
• Experience mentoring junior attorneys.

Responsibilities

• Advise clients on coverage issues under commercial lines liability and excess policies.
• Draft coverage opinions, letters, and memoranda.
• Conduct sophisticated legal research and evaluate complex issues affecting coverage determinations.
• Collaborate with claims professionals and in-house counsel to develop strategic coverage recommendations.
• Manage matters, deadlines, and client communications.
