Obsidian Insurance Holdings Inc is seeking a Compliance and Product Specialist to support the general insurance and product compliance and legal/regulatory functions. You will assist in developing and reviewing program business to ensure compliance with state and federal laws and company policies.

The role requires adapting quickly to fast-paced regulatory environments, providing guidance that balances regulatory requirements with business objectives.

Qualifikationen

• Property and Casualty program experience.
• Drafting coverage forms and endorsements experience.
• JD and active license to practice law in at least one US jurisdiction.
• 7+ years related experience.

Aufgaben

• Review coverage forms and endorsements for Property and Casualty lines to ensure underwriting intent and state compliance.
• Review and interpret new or revised laws, regulations, bulletins and regulatory publications affecting Obsidian business.
• Manage and monitor assigned programs with communication to general agents, and coordinate with cross-functional teams.
• Conduct due diligence on new program business including regulatory compliance requirements and maintain ongoing oversight.
• Work with Underwriting during implementation and launch phases, communicating compliance findings and ensuring coverage language is aligned.
• Collaborate with Actuarial during implementation to review rating rules for coverage forms and endorsements.
• Gather data with Actuarial/Accounting to respond to state data calls and regulatory reports.
• Oversee third party vendors filing work and manage objections and approvals.
• Perform due diligence and audits on program business and report findings to Legal, Underwriting, and Actuarial departments.
• Conduct ad hoc compliance research and projects.
