Job summary

Holmes Murphy in Cedar Rapids, IA is seeking a Client Service Specialist to join our Property Casualty team and support client-facing insurance operations. The role emphasizes accuracy, timely invoicing, and coordinating policy changes with carriers, with licensing support available within three months of hire.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma, up to one year of admin or customer service experience, and a willingness to obtain a Property Casualty license.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma; college degree preferred.
• Experience: 0-1 year of administrative, customer service, or office experience, preferably in the insurance industry.
• Licensing: Active state specific Property Casualty Insurance agent’s license required or the ability to acquire license within three months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Prepares certificates, binders, and auto ID cards.
• Invoice agency bill transactions for new and renewal policies, monthly installments, endorsements, and audits.
• Ensure accuracy of invoicing and work with accounting to resolve any discrepancies.
• Order policy changes from carriers, update agency management system/exposure schedules and set follow-up tasks.
• Investigates and corrects omitted items and commission differences on premium discrepancies (policies, audits and endorsements).
